Coal keeps grasp on West Virginia despite environment concerns

Driller cuts back 20 percent of 2016 capital program

A big player in the Marcellus and Utica shale is planning to spend $1.4 billion for natural gas drilling in 2016, although that number is about 23 percent less than it spent in 2015. Antero Resources (NYSE: AR) said low natural gas prices were the reason for the reduction but said it is flexible enough to change its drilling plans if prices go up or down.
